Below is the schedule for Group Classes. Monday Morning Yoga and YIN are All Levels and can be practiced Hybrid. Drop-In or Class Cards are accepted. It is strongly advised you contact me, Mimi, before attending the Back Care and Scoliosis Classes so I can get a sense of your needs and direct you to the proper class.

MONDAYS 8:30-9:45 AM | ALL LEVELS YOGA | $25

This is a class in the fundamentals of Yoga, specifically alignment based yoga where ample use of props, breath work and rest are used to lead students toward greater awareness. Beginning with centering action and then from basic poses that build upon the next toward more rounded out, fuller expressions. Ropes, chairs, blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps are used throughout the practice.

TUESDAYS 4:30-6 PM | Yoga for scoliosis | $30

This class is based on the teachings of Elise Browning Miller and other certified Iyengar teachers who have shaped the poses and applied to a modified practice. The subtle, incremental changes offered by this yoga practice allow the nervous system to receive and adapt slowly, thus allowing the scoliotic body to shift, quiet, and transform. The use of a ropes wall, chairs, a trestle or studio horse, bolsters, blankets and blocks as well as small items create external feedback to give the student greater awareness of their spines. From here, one can learn how to reduce the progression of their curves, or at least how to minimize their pain.

Slow, deliberate and meditatively focused, YinYoga offers us a chance to delve into the inner terrain of the subtle energy body meridians, chakras & Qi and how we can nourish and revitalize the fascial network & organic interconnections via this quiet practice, hydrating connective tissue, improving resiliency of the immune system and increasing sensitivity to our somatic experiences. Explore abiding calm and ease in your daily interactions on the yoga mat and in Life with this ancient Taoist tradition.

WEDNESDAYS 10 - 11:30AM BASIC BACK CARE/YOGA FOR HERNIATIONS/ $30

For all types of back issues, pain and postural problems including herniations. It offers a deliberate, step-by-step approach to the basic yoga postures and movement patterns that help relieve back pain. Abundant use of props such as the ropes wall, chairs, blankets and bolsters to aid in conscious movement. Suitable for those new to alignment-based yoga, new to working with their back issues through yoga practice, or those who like to move at a slower pace. Includes Restorative Yoga and Pranayama. CLASS IS ON HOLD TILL FURTHER NOTICE.
